Meet Coach Don Willadsen
I’m Coach Don, your Coon Rapids neighbor for over a decade. I live in Ward 2, the northeast suburb. I’m a husband, father, coach, and an animal lover. I’m also a small business owner. We purchased our family home in Coon Rapids Ward 2 over 12 years ago. We’ve raised two young men in Coon Rapids, and we frequent the businesses, parks, and entertainment in our great city. We live here for the same reasons you do: Safety, Clean Water, Low Property Taxes, Affordability, and we have the best Parks and Rec in the State of Minnesota.

In order to guarantee preserving the legacy of Coon Rapids your vote is needed. Many of our citizens have lived in our city their entire lives. I will ensure our citizens are never forced out of their homes due to my decisions on our City Council, as it pertains to taxes, city encroachment and/or expansion. One of my top priorities is safety and security. Keeping our first responders funded is a requirement. These issues are Vital to Human Life and Mental Health. A Vote for Coach Don is a vote for preserving Coon Rapids for all our citizens.
Why Vote for Coach Don Willadsen:
As a city council member, I work for you. Ensuring everyone has clean water, keeping our first responders funded and safe, and preserving our great parks are non-negotiable. As a fellow taxpayer, my vote will always be fiscally responsible with our tax dollars, especially in these inflationary times. Supporting every opportunity to work is logical and common sense, which is why I support all rights to work, including our Union brothers and sisters. Our family are loving pet owners, so Coach Don has your back; have no fear. New business growth is very important. It economically helps our citizens to keep our taxes low, but I will never support high-density housing or high-rise structure projects or proposals, so don’t bother asking. As for those pesky potholes, I despise them as much as the next citizen so fixing and filling them is a top priority. It’s time for a commonsense approach to politics. When you vote for me you’re voting for a simple, consistent, and honest vote as your council member. Let’s keep things simple & logical.
